Head Coach Priyanga DeSilva

Pri was the first coach of SCYCA when it began its youth cricket program back in 2014. He is an ICC (issued by Cricket West Indies) certified Level 2 coach and has been involved in youth cricket coaching in Orange County for the past 5 years. He is a former Sri Lanka U19 player, who also played First Class cricket in Sri Lanka.

Pri is a Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering) and holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering. He works as the CEO and Principal Engineer for Sequoia Consultants.

Arun Sabarajan



Arunkumar started coaching with SCYCA in 2018 and toured with the U11, U13 teams for various tournaments across California. He is still actively playing for various teams in SCCA cricket league and OCCA cricket league.

By profession, Arun holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and works as Director of Professional services for Kaygen, Inc.

Manjula Vithana


Manjula has joined the SCYCA Coaching team and he is highly enthusiastic about the game of Cricket. He has been an active member of OC Lions Cricket Club (OCCA) since 2005 and Century Cricket Club (SCCA Division 1) since 2006. Manjula represented the OCCA team in ACF Nationals 2015 as an opening bowler and opening batsman.

Manjula works as a Radio Frequency Engineer for the Mobile carrier Sprint and holds a MS in Telecommunication and Microwave Engineering.

Rohan Daluwatte



Shantha Suraweera

Shantha Suraweera got his first certification as a Level 1 coach from West Indies Cricket Board in 2010. Since then, he has been involved in youth cricket coaching in Orange County. Shantha started coaching with SCYCA in 2014, from the day SCYCA was founded.

By profession, Shantha holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and works as Cost Estimating Manager for O’Connor Construction Management, Inc.
