The first cricket match at Cypress Community Park was played on October 2, 2022, between home teams Southern California Youth Cricket Academy (SCYCA) and Southern California Cricket Association Youth (SCCAY).

Under-13 players from Southern California participated in the exciting cricket match on the professionally-built cricket pitch. This facility is paramount in improving the quality of local players and attracting visiting teams from other parts of the country. It will also encourage more local players to join cricket programs.
