Southern California Youth Cricket Academy is committed to expanding access to cricket opportunities for all interested youth in the Southern California region, and hosts practices at seven different locations around the area. Please note that practice locations can change based on permits from the city. Registered players follow Spond for the most up-to-date locations.
Opened in March 2023, the Cypress Community Park field is the first designated youth cricket pitch in Irvine, CA. The 78 ft x 27 ft lighted, natural grass pitch was professionally built and features an outfield radius of 155 ft.
The Irvine Chapter of SoCal Youth Cricket Academy also practices at Heritage Park in Irvine, which is a 36-acre sports park featuring lighted sports fields.
SCYCA has exclusive usage of two youth cricket fields at Hope School in Buena Park. The North OC Chapter started practicing regularly on the fields in September 2023. SCYCA also hosts inter-academy friendly youth cricket matches on the grounds. The fields feature two turf cricket pitches that SCYCA carefully maintains and rolls with compacters.
SCYCA hosts youth cricket practices at Lake Forest Sports Park on Wednesdays on Baseball Field #1, and on Mondays and Fridays at the baseball batting cages in the park. The batting cages are a valuable resource for youth players to practice drills and hone their cricket skills.
Youth cricket players in the Yorba Linda Chapter of SCYCA have access to regular cricket practices at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim.
SoCal Youth Cricket Academy also holds practice sessions on the cricket pitches at Harada Heritage Park in Corona in Riverside County.
