SCYCA Clinches Championship Title in Santa Clarita Valley Cricket Torunament

Southern California Youth Cricket Academy (SCYCA) emerged triumphant in the recent Santa Clarita Valley Cricket Tournament, dominating both the Under-11 and Under-13 categories to claim unbeaten championship titles. The tournament, which concluded on May 5th, 2024, saw participation from four teams across Southern California, with SCYCA’s young talents showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the competition.


Under-11 Category: In the Under-11 division, the Arora brothers stood out, with Aarav Arora leading the batting charts with an impressive total of 96 runs across the tournament. SCYCA’s success in this category was attributed to a combination of collective effort and stellar individual performances. In the finals against Woodley Tigers, SCYCA’s solid bowling unit restricted the opposition to a mere 87 runs. Aarav Arora shone once again, delivering a magnificent performance by scoring 55 runs, guiding SCYCA to victory in just 10.2 overs.


Under-13 Category: Kian Sahasrabudhe emerged as a standout performer in the Under-13 category, leading the tournament’s bowling charts with 7 wickets to his name. In the finals against Woodley Tigers, SCYCA’s bowlers put up a formidable display, with Shritan claiming 3 crucial wickets for 10 runs, and both Adit and Aarav contributing with 2 wickets each, conceding 8 and 10 runs respectively. This disciplined bowling effort restricted the opponents to a modest total of 86 runs. SCYCA chased down the target comfortably in 15.1 overs, with Pavan showcasing his batting prowess with a valuable contribution of 24 runs.
