Earlier this year, USA Cricket announced a batch of dates for the ICC/USA Cricket Level 1: Coaching Fundamentals Practical Workshops for 2023. SCYCA coordinated the first workshop, which took place at Del Lago Elementary School on the 26^th of August 2023 in Mission Viejo.

Over 25 coaches from locations throughout the West region received Level–1 certification and will start contributing towards the development of the game of cricket among youth across the nation.2
